Keyboard Interface Bus: The classical definition of a serial Keyboard interface used on Personal Computers [PCs] is a 6 pin Circular DIN. The pin-out for the Keyboard or Mouse port is: Pin 1; Data, Pin 2; Reserved, Pin 3; Ground, Pin 4; +5 Vdc, Pin 5; Clock, and Pin 6; Reserved. However because this not a release standard, there is no proper name for the interface. Instead the Keyboard interface only defines the application of an interface for a keyboard. That is, any physical interface between a PC and keyboard could be considered the correct interface.

An alphabetic listing of released interface buses. In general the links point to pages that describe both the physical and electrical interfaces. Network protocols are not addressed.
