Light Peak: An optical interface being developed by Intel around 2009, but never released. However by 2011 some indicate that the new name is Thunderbolt and is not optical, but a copper interface.

LIN bus: Local Interconnect Network is used as an in-vehicle Automotive communication and networking serial bus between intelligent sensors and actuators. The LIN specification covers the transmission protocol [Physical Layer and the Data Link Layer of LIN], and the transmission medium. The max communication speed on a LIN bus is 19200 baud.

LocalTalk: An out-dated Apple Personal Computer interface.

LPC Bus: [Low Pin Count Bus] The LPC Interface allows the legacy I/O motherboard components, typically integrated in a Super I/O chip, to migrate from the ISA/X-bus to the LPC Interface. The LPC Interface Specification describes memory, I/O and DMA transactions, and uses the PCI 33MHz clock. LPC was developed by Intel.

LPI: The Low Pin Interface is used with USB, with 8 data lines, CLK, DIR, NXT, STP lines.

LVDS Bus: [Low Voltage Differential Signaling] LVDS/M-LVDS is an electrical only standard working to a distance of 10 meters [referenced by other specifications].

LXI Bus: LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation.

An alphabetic listing of released interface buses. Primarily the links point to topics that describe the physical and electrical portion of the interfaces. Network interface protocols are not normally addressed in detail, or covered at all.
