Electronics {press-fit PCB D-Subminiature connectors, D-Subminiature Combo connectors combine signal, power, and RF coaxial contacts}
Normal D-sub connectors carry standard pins. The combo, or split-pin connectors also carry other pin styles.
In some cases the additional pin styles will use larger pins for power lines or coax contacts for RF signals.
D-Subminiature Connectors manufactured to the Mil-C-24308 specification.
Editor note; I believe that the MIL C-24308 standard has been withdrawn and replaced by MIL DTL-24308.
Also that these standards are controlled by the government and may be withdrawn at any time, without replacement.
This includes the top level spec C24308 and any slash sheets referenced by the standard [24308/ ].

of coax [or power] contacts.
The coax contacts may have 3 or five solder pins for mounting.
Filter Contacts
C-Filter [uses a Feed-Through Ceramic Capacitor, signal to ground]
L-Filter [uses an Inductor, Ferrite strip under the body as a pin alignment body]
LC-Filter [Series Inductor followed by a capacitor to ground. Low source, high load impedance]
CL-Filter [capacitor to ground followed by a Series Inductor. High source, low load impedance]
T-Filter [Two Series Inductors with a center capacitor to ground. Low source, low load impedance]
Pi-Filter [Two capacitors to ground with a center inductor. TBD source, TBD load impedance]
Performance Classes
Class 1; 500 contact cycles
Class 2; 200 contact cycles
Class 3; 50 contact cycles
D-Sub common usage in computers;
9-pin DE D-Sub connectors are used as an RS232 Serial port
15-pin DA D-Sub connectors are used as a Video port
25-pin DB D-Sub connectors are used as a parallel / printer port
Note that most people just use the term 'DB'; DB9, DB15, DB25.

Refer to the following page for Military Connectors, and may
also list companies which manufacturer Dsub connector styles.
A General listing of D-Sub Connector Manufacturers and Related sites.
The products the companies produce
are listed under the company name which is indexed in alphabetic order.
Editor note The terms Dsub, D-sub, or D-Subminiature all mean the same or relate to the same Rectangular Connector.
However the terms DB9, DE9, DB15, DA15 all relate to the same style of D-sub connector, but imply different size connectors.
