Battery Information:

Batteries should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area with an optimal storage temperature range of 0°C to 25°C.
Excessive high temperature can damage a battery.

There are two general types of batteries; Wet or Dry cells.
Wet cell batteries use a liquid electrolyte while Dry cell batteries use a paste electrolyte.
A Lead-Acid Battery is a rechargeable battery that uses lead plates as the terminals and acid as the electrolyte.
A Carbon-Zinc [Dry] cell uses a carbon positive rod and a negative zinc case.
The Alkaline cell uses zinc as the negative electrode and manganese dioxide as the positive electrode, with an alkaline electrolyte.
The Nickel-Cadmium cell uses nickel hydroxide [negative terminal] and cadmium hydroxide [positive terminal] and potassium hydroxide as the electrolyte.
The Lithium Battery uses lithium metal or a lithium aluminum alloy in its negative electrode and manganese dioxide in its positive electrode.
The Lithium-ion Battery uses lithium metallic oxide in its positive electrode and carbon material in its negative electrode.

The positive terminal is the Cathode, and the negative electrode is the Anode.
