Handspring's SpringBoard, Pin Out

The Springboard expansion slot were produced on Handheld Computers developed by Handspring, how ever Handspring no longer makes Springboard modules. Springboard cards are used for more then just Flash memory expansion. Springboard was designed using the same 68 pin header used on the PCMCIA PC Card, but the pinout is different. The pinout table below defines the main connector pin out, how ever there is an expansions slot that is not yet shown on this page. Handspring uses the industry standard Palm OS as its software platform.

Xilinx has an Application Note covering CPLDs as used on the [xapp147.pdf] Insight Electronics Springboard Development Card, dated 2002.

The SpringBoard card dimensions are: 67mm x 54mm
