10-Tap Analog Delay Line

Delay lines are subdivided into either Active or Passive devices.

Passive delay lines contain no active devices, and use passive components [Inductors, Capacitors] to achieve a delay.
So passive delay will produce a loss in signal, and the impedance has to be watched.
Passive delay taps use an Inductor in series with the signal, with a capacitor in parallel [signal to common].
Expect a large change in rise or fall time as the signal tries to charge or discharge these capacitors.

Active delay lines are designed to match a particular logic family and are drop in devices.
While some active delay lines also use passive components to achieve a delay, the inputs and outputs of the device are buffered by active buffers.
Digital delay lines are completely digital devices.

Buffered Delay Line; a delay line which uses a buffer to over-come the lose of the delay line. Buffered Delay Line Definition
Multi Delay Line; a package with more than one separate and distinct delay lines which do not interact.
