PROM devices use the standard PROM diode matrix, with the addition of input decoders and output buffers.
PAL devices use a programmable AND array followed by a fixed OR array.
FPLA devices use a programmable AND array followed by a programmable OR array.

IP Core Vendors

IP Cores have moved it it's own page.
IP Cores [Intellectual Property] are pre-designed logic functions or modules used in FPGAs, PLDs, or ASICs. These designs are also called Systems-On-Chip [SOC Designs]. A great many companies produce Cores, and many use different "IP Buses" which allow the User to interconnect logic. An IP Core is software. Other terms include; "Mega-functions", "MegCore".

A general listing of IC [Integrated Circuit] Programmable Logic manufacturers. The listing is subdivided into FPGA manufacturers, PLD manufacturers, and ASIC manufacturers. The types of products or devices the vendors produce are listed under the company name, in alphabetic order. Of course an IP core does not represent a hardware component, but rather a software product used with in an FPGA. Additional component manufacturers may be found by selecting the Components icon below, or Equipment manufacturers may be found by selecting the OEM Equipment icon. MicroProcessor - MicroController manufacturers or for manufacturers which produce additional types of Integrated Circuits [IC] may be found by selecting the Components icon below.
