FMC Mezzanine Card

This is a listing of COTS FMC Mezzanine Card manufacturers, FPGA IO Mezzanine Standard.

FPGA Mezzanine Card Description:
The FMC mezzanine module is in a smaller form factor, when compared to PMC/XMC modules.
The FMC specification has two defined sizes that are referred to as a single width, and a double width module.
The single width module has a width of 69mm and the double width module has a width of 139mm.
The depth of both is 76.5mm. Having both a single width and double width card format is common among many mezzanine boards.
The FMC mezzanine module uses a high-pin count 400 pin high-speed array connector.
The FMC module is about half the size of a PMC module, at 76.5 mm x 69 mm [see graphic below]

VITA 57; [Mezzanine Standard for FPGA IO]
FMC is still a draft standard and has not been released yet.

The VITA-57 specification was released in 2010.
There have not yet been many identified FMC board manufacturers.

The FMC module uses a new style of board connector.
The mezzanine side is called the terminal end, and the carrier side uses the term socket.
Carrier cards are used to hold the FMC module similar to other mezzanine formats.
The two most common size carrier card sizes would be either a 3U or 6U size board.
As those two board sizes are the most commonly used board formats in a number of different card standards.
