Note that the definition of a Lamp is just a component that produces light.
So the descriptions next to the vendor name indicate the particular style of lamp.
When LEDs are listed, it means the LED uses something other than two terminals.

The term lamp could relate to almost any part producing light,
so some of these companies may also be listed on one of the other topics.
An incandescent light would normally be considered a lamp.

Incandescent Lamp: A part whose principal purpose is to produce light from a glowing filament. Lamp: A part that generates light. Mercury Vapor Lamp: An item which produces light by an electric arc between two electrodes in an ionized mercury vapor atmosphere. Neon Lamp: Using Neon gas, [580nm], also Helium-Neon [632nm]. Sodium Lamp: An item which produces light by an electric arc between two electrodes in an ionized sodium vapor atmosphere. Keep in mind that selecting one type of light source over another for brightness or other factors may develop additional issues. Each of these different light sources produce light at a different wave length, and that wavelength may cause other issues in the system.
