Capacitor Array: A capacitor Array is a group of capacitors contained within the same package. In the case shown below four capacitors contained within an 8 pin Single In-Line Package [SIP]. A capacitor Array is similar to a capacitor network but do not connect to each other. An array contains capacitors which form no connections between any of the other components. Note that the graphic calls a pin with a capacitor, a section, while a shorted pin [with no cap] is called a ground lead.

Case. Molded or conformally coated.
Operating temperature range. The operating temperature range shall be -550C to +1250C.
Rated voltage. The rated voltage shall be 100 V dc at +85C, 50 V dc at +125C.
Dielectric type. CG, in accordance with MIL-PRF-20.
Capacitance tolerance. J = +/-5 percent, K = +/-10 percent.

The table provides the Defense Supply Center Columbus [DSCC] drawing number [87120] along with a dash number to indicate capacitance value and capacitance tolerance [per dash number].
Capacitor Array, 8-Pin SIP
A array of capacitors with four individual capacitors residing in a 8 pin Single In-line Package is shown in the side-bar. Each pair of leads form a single capacitor, instead of using a common line as shown in the previous examples. Note the pin 1 designation on the package.
Engineering note: the capacitor arrays use through-hole SIP as the example; however surface mount SIPs are also possible, although in a different style package with different dimensions. A surface-mount single inline package would have a single row of terminals running the length of the component body.
