| There are three main types of computer desktop computers, which include Desk Top systems, Work Stations, and Gaming PCs. Desk top systems are used at home or in the office. Desktop systems as a rule are middle of the road computers, but many companies allow the different options to be configured. Workstations normally come with dual processor sockets [which could also be dual core] and up to eight DIMM memory sockets. Gamer PCs are also high-end systems, but almost never dual processor systems. In many cases gaming PCs come with cases that are a bit more flashy. In most cases a Gamming PC will ship with one or more high-end video cards to handle the graphics of the games. |
