Some terms and Acronyms
The Abbreviations PWB [Printed Wiring Board], PCB; [Printed Circuit Card] and CCA; Circuit Card Assembly all refer to the same thing and are used interchangeably in the text. The terms Card, Board, and Circuit Card are also used Interchangeable.

The terms COTS [commercial off the shelf] means a product that has already been developed and produced and may be purchased,
while OEM; [Original Equipment Manufacturer] refers to the company that designed or developed the product.
Only OEM's are listed here, the list does not include resellers or third party vendors.

The terms SBC; Single Board Computer, DSP; Digital Signal Processing and I/O; Input/Output are used to refer to the type of board.
Followed by the terms CAN; [Controller Area Network], and GPIB; General Purpose Interface Bus] which are used to indicate a specific type of I/O.

The term MIL-STD [Military Standard] is also used to refer to a military specification.
