This is a listing of COTS [Commercial-Off-The-Self] ESB Card manufacturers.
The types of products or devices the manufacturers produce are listed under the company name.
ESB (Embedded Single Board) is produced in two form factors:
ESB 3.5 inch 4 x 5.7 inches (which includes the DB connector faces).
ESB 5.25 inch 8 x 5.7 inches.
The ESB 5.25 includes a PCI Riser card slot, while the ESB 3.5 includes a PC/104 area.
ESB 3.5 appears as an embedded SBC [Single Board Computer]
ESB 5.25 appears as an embedded Motherboard [Accepts pin-edge daughter boards]

Editor note; I can't find a valid ESB specification, so can't comment more than what's here.
a search on 2/14/12 did not produce any manufacturers that were producing ESB cards.
That does not mean there are no companies making ESB boards, it just means that I didn't find any.
Some sites are also using the term ESB to stand for Embedded Sensor Board [which appears to be a micro-size card].
Still other companies use Embedded Single Board to refer to the entire range of embedded Single Board Computers [SBC].
In other words the specification name is to generic to track down. ESB might refer to Embedded System Board.

This is a motherboard format, so there are no Extender Boards. Extender Boards are listed under the slot style they would plug into.
Acronyms used above: PWB; stands for Printed Wiring Board, PCB; Printed Circuit Card,
I/O; Input/Output, OEM; Original Equipment Manufacturer, COTS; Commercial-Off-The-Shelf,
SBC; Single Board Computer,
SOM; System On Module, CSB; Customer Solution Board. The
terms Card, Board, Circuit Card or CCA are Interchangeable.
