Used as a Embedded Single Board Computer, SBC, or motherboard. EBX allows for PC104-Plus expansion and has an optional PCMCIA Card slot.
Version 1.1 was released in 1997 [there may be a newer release, reviewed in 2004]
The EBX form factor is also considered to be one of the 5.25 inch SBC board styles, which also contains PC/104 expansion I/O. The 5.25 inch nomenclature relates to the size of 5.25 inch media drives. EBX may also be found under 5.25" Embedded System Board.
